Process based work : Cut and mark tunnel book

Materials: sketch book, brush, ink, scalpel knife, paper glue, cut mat or piece of thick cardboard

1 On the first page of your sketch book, make a mark with the ink-charged brush.

2 Wait for the ink to dry.

3 Place the cut mat or thick cardboard under this page and taking the scalpel blade, cut in straight lines around it.

4 Remove the ink mark and place it to the side of the hole.

5 Coat the blank side with glue and stick it down to the side of the hole.

6 Take up the inked brush again and in one movement make a mark within the boundaries of the hole on the paper page revealed.

7 Turn the page and repeat steps 2 to 6 until you have completely penetrated the sketch book.
